EASY WAYS To Support The Arc of Utah
The Arc of Utah advocates for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and their families to make Utah a more welcome and inclusive place. We depend upon contributions from those who understand the value of helping people with disabilities become more independent and contributing members of our society. Here are some ways to make contributions to the Arc of Utah, all of which are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Gifts of Cash: Cash gifts are always welcome in any amount and have a positive, immediate financial impact on The Arc of Utah. Cash gifts can be designated toward a specific Arc project or can be given to the general fund to go toward any project currently in need of funding.
You can securely donate to The Arc of Utah using your major credit card.
Gifts of Securities: Stocks and Bonds are another way to donate. Appreciated securities often have the additional tax advantage of being tax deductible at their appreciated value. Gifts of Securities can maximize your donation.
Gifts of Life Insurance: The proceeds donated from life insurance death benefits are generally tax free and are separate from other assets in an estate. Your gift of an insurance policy and your ongoing donations to the Arc for payment of premiums are tax deductible.
Memorial Contribution: A memorial contribution is a wonderful, caring way to honor a friend or loved one who has passed away, and to express sympathy to the family. These contributions are usually given in lieu of flowers and will include a card indicating the name(s) of the donor and how the contribution will be used to support people with disabilities.
Honorary Gifts: Financial contributions to The Arc of Utah in lieu of a gift are a great way to recognize a birthday, anniversary, retirement, holiday, or other special occasion! The Arc will send the appropriate card to the recipient indicating the name(s) of the donor and how the contribution will be used to support people with disabilities.
Donor Clubs: The Arc offers membership in various levels for annual donations. Members of the $100 Club, the $500 Club and the $1,000 Club are honored and recognized in the Arc of Utah newsletter, on the Arc website and in the program of the Annual Meeting. Members of the $2500 Club are recognized as described above as well as presented with a framed certificate! Members of the $5000 and the $10,000 and Higher Club are recognized as described above and awarded a beautiful, personalized plaque honoring the donor.
Gifts in Kind: Donations of clothing, household items, supplies, equipment and other useful items are always welcome. Contact our Donor Services at (801) 977-9311 for free pick up.
Volunteers: Gifts of self are often the most rewarding. The Arc of Utah is always ready to find ways for volunteers to support children and adults with disabilities in meaningful ways! For a list of volunteer opportunities with The Arc of Utah click here
