Collaborative Opportunities
Making a difference in the lives of people with significant disabilities requires the work of many people and organizations. The Arc of Utah works with a number of disability organizations, particularly in advocacy work. These include (but are not limited to):
- The Legislative Coalition for People with Disabilities
- Utah Developmental Disabilities Council
- The Arc of The United States
- The Disability Law Center
- TKJ provides training and support for adults with cognitive disabilities in residential settings. Supports include planning, preparation, choice-making, instruction, financial, social, communication, transportation, behavioral, and physical assistance.
The Legislative Coalition posts Action Alerts and legislative information to their web page. For schedules of committee and other legislative meetings, copies of bills being considered, etc., please visit the State Legislature at http://www.le.state.ut.us .
